Another project for Bulmers, this time its a spray-painted stop frame animation featuring Reeps1 (uk Beatbox champion). This is the first stop motion animation i've ever done with aerosol, and it was a great opportunity to experiment with this new technique.
After 3, 17 hour days of shooting at my studio, the Stitch That crew did an amazing job of pulling it all together. It was a pleasure to collaborate with such professionals, and i'd like to give a huge thanks to the director, Martyn Thomas for bringing his expertise and energy to the shoot. Also thanks to Reeps1 for coming up with the soundtrack (you need a sub to really appreciate the range that guys voice has!). Not forgetting Andrew and Terry at Monorex for bringing the job in! Finaly thanks to Bulmers for having faith in our ideas from the start and letting me try something ive never done before on a brand new 20k car!
Designed and built this set for the launch of the new 'Bulmers Berry' Cider in Ireland last week. The theme was 'An undergrowth movement' and we built an oversized cartoon undergrowth environment out of mdf cutouts. First stop was the Academy in Dublin and after de-rigging it was a 3 hour drive to the Savoy in Cork where we set up the party for the following night . It was a massive operation and probably the hardest week and a halfs work ive ever done but well worth it. really happy with how it all turned out...big shouts to Matt and Stika for putting in the long hours!
